Masala Chai Rooibos

Our masala chai tea infuses a huge depth of spices, complementing its blend with our super grade red rooibos leaves. These chai tea spices add an earthy tone to this beautiful loose leaf tea. These are combined with a delicate fusion of orange and vanilla that lifts the tea and elevates the flavour intensity. Chai tea has long been associated with benefits for your health given the range of spices that are incorporated into the blend.

Chai tea flavours originated in India and have since become hugely popular across the whole world. It is thought that it originally came about from a healer who requested this specific blend of spices to help in healing for traditional medicine practices. The use of cinnamon was though to aid the circulation, cardamom to boost the mood, ginger to aid digestion and turmeric to help with inflammation. It wasn’t until years to come that there was the addition of tea leaves into this spiced mix. So, originally chai ‘tea’ was absolutely caffeine free, much like our Masala Chai Rooibos Tea.

1 heaped teaspoon per cup, boil the kettle, brew for 5 mins and serve with or without milk.
